The graviola tree (annona muricata), also known as the bitter gourd, grows in tropical regions around the world. Traditional herbalists have used the leaves historically. Recent studies have shown that the active ingredient in graviola, acetogenins, support healthy cell growth and function. Other active ingredients in graviola have free radical scavenging properties.
