Size (approx.) 210 x 175 cm / 2380 g Fabric: Premium Japanese No. 9 Canvas (Shuttle Loom) (Produced to JIS Standard L3102) (Special Paraffin Treatment for Strong Waterproofing) (100% Cotton) Sewing: Made in Iwate Prefecture [MADE IN IWATE] ● This "SURVIVE SHEET" is a rugged and tough multi-purpose tent-style sheet made in Japan from high-quality Japanese No. 9 canvas woven on a rare shuttle loom, treated with a unique special paraffin finish, and finished in a unique way. It's designed, developed, and finished in Japan, from the very beginning. It's designed for durability and waterproofing, making it suitable for a wide range of uses, including leisure, outdoor activities, and camping. One look at this product and you'll feel the confidence of a Japanese-made product. *The DL version has been stitched. White canvas cotton is visible on the back of the seams. This is due to the high-density canvas, which makes it difficult to thread a needle through, forcing the cotton out. *There may be creases and wrinkles when packaged.
⛺Feature 1: Made in Japan. ● This survival sheet is made with premium No. 9 canvas and a unique paraffin coating, ensuring high quality. This durable, thick, and sturdy canvas, used since the Edo period for truck sheets, emergency stretchers, judo uniforms, and more, is made from 100% cotton and is environmentally friendly, offering exceptional tear resistance. Its thickness allows it to withstand lifting even 20kg of firewood, giving it a rugged, heavy feel. The special paraffin (wax-soaked) coating provides excellent waterproofing, and the more it ages, the more vintage-inspired it becomes. This sheet is ideal for a variety of outdoor activities, camping, and events. *All HOBI canvas is 100% cotton, not blended canvas (e.g., synthetic fibers).
⛺Feature 2: Eight Grommets ● The fabric has eight grommets, four at the corners and four on the inside, allowing it to be used as a front curtain or small tarp. The thick grommets, each 2.2cm in diameter, allow for easy hammering of pegs and prevent bending or stretching even when used as a storage hammock. By placing the grommets at the fold edge, a standard feature for domestic sheet manufacturing, the grommets are prevented from coming loose or falling out.
⛺Feature 3: Unique special paraffin processing ● Premium Japanese canvas is repeatedly dipped in wax and pigments, allowing more wax and pigment to penetrate the fabric and into its gaps. This allows the paraffin processing to create a smooth, pleasant-to-the-touch yet durable and long-lasting texture, a unique feature (if wax is only applied to the surface, the fabric will be hard and brittle, and the wax will easily come off). Premium canvas and the meticulous and delicate paraffin processing that only Japanese craftsmen can provide form the foundation of the Survive Sheet. It is waterproof enough to withstand heavy rain and can even be used as a temporary bucket, and has a texture (vintage feel) that develops with use. [The fabric has a pleasant feel, unique to shuttle looms, making it comfortable for children to sit or lie down on.]
⛺Feature 4: Spacious 210 x 175 cm size. ● 210 cm is the same length as a standard futon mattress. Enjoy a comfortable lie-down experience. The double-layered design folds for added security. This size is ideal for a variety of situations and locations (ground use, camp tent, sunshade, storage, rain, wind, sand protection, dew cover, etc.) (Note: Dimensions may vary slightly depending on climate and humidity.) Approximately 1 mm thick, it will not tear even when placed on rocks, gravel, or uneven ground, and will not cause pain when in contact with the body. When folded, it measures approximately 27 x 28 cm and weighs 2380 g, making it easy to store in a backpack or Boston bag. It can also be folded to be used as a cushion, making it a versatile, multi-purpose sheet. Enjoy the unique texture of the Survive Sheet. ●Caution: Due to the nature of the fabric and processing, color transfer may occur.
